Forced evictions are the ugly flipside of Cambodia’s development push, leaving poor communities homeless and increasingly angry

PHNOM PENH (17 February 2012) — Forced evictions in the name of progress have thrown nearly 50,000 Cambodians out of their homes over the past five years, prompting an angry backlash from human rights activists who insist the government do more to protect citizens’ rights.
